I had this special polish since before I started the 31 Day Challenge - and I hadn't wanted only to wear it for a day so I saved it. And things happened, I didn't wear polish for days and so of course I forgot about it! So glad I remembered about it now though! It's a pretty!
Sorry I can't upload more pictures- my picsa doesn't seem to be working. More pictures should arrive soon!

Inspired by a Flag: Day 28 of the 31 Day Challenge
50 GFC followers! Thank you guys for putting up with me! ;) This really does mean a lot to me! I started this blog as I love nail art and I love this community - and thank you for welcoming me in!
For my inspiration I went to my county flag - the Yorkshire flag. This is the Yorkshire White Rose which comes form the house of York. I am definitely going to be wearing this again on Yorkshire day next year!
I am very proud of this one! Thanks for the look in!

Inspired by Fashion: Day 25 of the 31 Day Challenge
And not so long ago I found a cheap chain that would be perfect. Unfortuantly the weather has been awful. And then my camera ran out of battery. Today is just not my day! I hope tomorrow is! I'm going back to university!

Inspired by A Book: Day 24 of the 31 Day Challenge
Sorry for disappearing! The madness of doing this challenge while moving to uni finally caught up to me. Add a St Johns Ambulance duty for freshers week (where all traces of polish have to be removed and many vomit bowls were involved) and I missed two days. I am determined that I will catch up by the end!
So for today, a simple, very quick manicure with the inspiration of a university science textbook - The Cell. So - cells! You can imagine how excited I was for Llarowe's new science plate! It's actually the first official day of university today - so it fits!

Inspired By A Colour - Day 21 of the 31 Day Challenge
Its the start of the 'inspired by' challenges and it is these which are going to be a real struggle for me. Today I was inspired by blue (and my new cheeky plates) to create a nautical design. Execution wasn't my best (especially the stripping tape. I don't know what happened there!) but with the 31 Day Challenge I have just been so rushed! I'll definitely be preparing for the next one! (And won't be moving to a new house huh!)
Thanks for the look in - I loved the others work for today. Go check them out!

Glitter: Day 17 of the 31 Day Challenge
Its finally time for Mirror Ball! Very picture heavy post coming up. I took nearly 200 photos! Which is one of the reasons this is so late in the day (2am the next morning!). The other being I am packing up to go back to university so of course I got distracted and had to do a slight clear out of my entire room so there is still a whole bed full of stuff to sort before I can go to bed. Le sigh. Any way. To what you really want to see - the collection....
I wanted to try them all and I had natural light to fight, so I did them all! One hand with matching colours and my personal favourite - on black. Each hand was then top coated with a matte top coat. I also used a pva base coat for the first time and man I am in love!
More pictures and specific details after the cut.

Tribal: Day 16 of the 31 Day Challenge
Well this was supposed to be up hours ago but a combination or Doctor Who, crafty things on pintrest and fanfiction distracted me. Bad laptop, bad! ^.^ This nail art took a long time to do as it was my first ever tribal mani and I wanted to have a really good try at creating a
range of tribal patterns. I think I achieved that! It took so long that I missed natural light so these pictures will be replaced in the morning (after I've neatened them up after looking at some of these shots!) I do like how this one shows off the metallic:
I tried to base the colours at least from this tee.... at least it gave me a place to start anyway!
So I am pretty proud of this one, especially as freehand is definitely not a natural skill of mine. It'll be a shame to take it off tomorrow - I don't know if I could do another one of these as it is so time consuming. But then its MIRRORBALL TIME!!! So I won't be upset for long! See you then!

Illamasqua Jo'mina

Barry M Special Effects Gold Foil
Essie Chubby Cheeks
Black Acrylic Paint
I hadn't used Essie's before (I got some of the last Autumn collection for £2 each!) and I really loved them! The nude base I thought particularly suited my skin tone and isn't it nice to find a nail polish match! Never mind a foundation match! ;)

Animal pattern: Day 13 of the 31 Day Challenge
I basically went through my whole collection and found every animal print I could. I couldn't quite decide on the colours so I did both hands! (Anyone know how to turn a picture around?! Grrr). So there is a leopard, snake, poisonous frog, zebra and giraffe print! Sorry for the horrible picture right here... its very hard to get both hands in one shot even when your mum's taking the picture!

Gradient: Day 10 of the 31 Day Challenge
This is a combo I've never tried before but I had a spark and I just
couldn't help myself! I think a lighter grey would have been better, but
I still love them! Who can say no to glittering pink tips?

You do realise it's not autumn yet? + Day 1 of the 31 Day Challenge
Just yesterday evening I learned that there's going to be a few bloggers joining in the 31 day nail art challenge with Polished Criminails. After a short deliberation I have decided to do it - it helps the post I scheduled fitted into the contest! I am looking forward to this to make myself try new things and to maybe make a few new blogger friends, so although September is a busy month for me I'm looking forward to pushing myself and my skills.
I can't tell you how in love I am in with A-Englands Perceval. I don't normally wear reds, but this one? It's just that pretty! I wore it for a couple of days by itself - but then I couldn't resist some stamping!

It felt a bit boring so I randomly decided to place the stamps at different places on each nail. Not entirely sure that really worked, but I still like it, and I will definitely be using this colour combo later in the year!

Zeus's Clouds
Again - another combo I saw before but didn't love on my nails somehow - love it in pictures but I think its too subtle in real life.
In other news - my nail broke! Waaaaaa! I was going to EIJ soon after this so I cut them all to a shorter length but couldn't quite make myself cut them all to nubbins. I nearly cried as it was! I was glad I was going to have to take a break anyway - almost back to one single length now!

Sorry and Pararlymic Nail Art Celebrations!
Well I had planned to be off for a week and a half due to going to be staff a Essex International Jamboree - where I spent a week on the 40+ archery team - giving 1812 scouts and guides a taste of archery. We shot over 30,000 arrows - an only lost one! I made many new friends and had an all round good time - even if it is full time work as my 'holiday'! So my home for the past week has been this:
I didn't mean to be gone so long but I am very pleased to say that my laptop is now fixed! (hopefully) Seen as the repair man laughed when he saw it was an acer - I think that means it was a bad choice ^^ But I am back and raring to go!
And so, what better way for me to get involved in the paralympics than for me to try something different with very rare freehand nail art during the opening ceremony! (It looks good from afar! hehe)

So sorry for being a bad blogger and thank you for the look in!

AIS Challenge: Double Stamping with a Flowery Touch
I have to say using more than stamp is one of my bad points. I prefer to do one simple stamp. I basically have no imagination!!!
